Norfolk Weekend!

So last weekend I went to visit my friend, Va, down in Portsmouth by Norfolk. I traveled with my good friend Ashleigh. She drove and I was the DJ. IT took about 6 hours round trip, which was nice because that meant we didn't really hit any traffic. We left Thursday night after I finished work and came back Saturday afternoon. It was a ton of fun to see Va because I hadn't seen her since we went to see the Hunger Games in theaters! We went to some nifty museums, which I loved since I'm a gigantic museum freak! They were all owned by the Chrysler Museum of Art. Two of the museums we went to were house museums that were from the time when Norfolk was booming before the Civil War broke out. The other museum was the Chrysler of Art Museum. They were all free! This made it even doubly awesome! If you are ever in Norfolk VA I would highly recommend you taking some time to see these museums. They're not huge, which is nice if you don't like museums or are just short on your time as a tourist. Here is the Chrysler Museum of Art's website link: http://www.chrysler.org/  Check it out if you're interested! Enjoy your weekend!

Worst Blogger Ever?

So I feel that I am possibly the worst blogger ever!!!!

I randomly post at weird intervals of my life and I give false promises of saying I'm going to keep it up. I want to apologize for those, if any, who actually "follow" my blog. It has been very lack lusty of the adventures I hope it would be. Maybe that'll change and maybe it won't, no promises this time around. I just want to explain one thing before I do my catch up game again. This started as a thing to sort of document my  undergraduate college years, which is over now since I graduated in May, and to just have something to do to use up my time and keep me busy. I feel bad saying that, but its the truth. Now that I'm actually busy with working and life being life, its been kind of hard to keep up. I will try to be a better blogger, but don't expect anything to change too much. I will definitely try to keep this more up to date with stuff.

Any-who, catch up time. I am still interning at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in the education department. I'll be there until the end of the year! After that I have no idea what I'll be doing. All I know is that Dec 31st will be doomsday for me career wise right now. I am not going to dwell on that at the moment. I have been looking for other opportunities, but entry level stuff in museums can be a little hard to come by. Wish me luck though, maybe the NMMC will want to keep me! Other than that I have just been trying to adjust to life post-grad.  Its hard not being able to see friends all the time or doing exactly what I want where I live. Yes, I live at home right now with my parents, which is totally fine with me. My parents are great and I love them lots! I just can't go out at like 2 in the morning to IHOP with my buddies if I really wanted to, but technically I can if I don't care/ respect my parents' schedule of sleep and the fact that they do worry about me being out on the road and in the world. But those are really not big complaints. I feel I have adjusted very nicely to this shift in how things are ran. I've gotten together with college friends and I have tried my best keeping in touch with people as well.

Well, till the next time I post something new!

Been Gone For a Long Time

Hey there everyone who may be reading this! So its been a really long time since I've been on here! I guess life has just been keeping me busy. I am 4 weeks away from graduating my undergraduate program! I'll be entering the big, real world and will not have the comfort and safety blanket of being a collage student anymore. I do really look forward to this new stage of my life though! After I graduate I will be interning at the National Museum of the Marine Corp in their education department. Check out their website: http://www.usmcmuseum.org/index.asp

I'm looking forward to it and I can't wait! If I'm a good blogger you may even be hearing about it, but, as my track record seems to show, you're not guaranteed anything from for another 2 years or so :P Hopefully I will write a little here and there on this thing again, but its that time of the semester where we are all sprinting towards the finish line with obstacles hurtling in our path. Until I feel an inclination to procrastinate again!

Back at Home

I've been home for almost a week. I am so glad to be back here. Now I don't have to worry about work for a while! Yesterday we picked my brother up from UVA and we're off on a trip in a little bit to go see family for the holidays. Today we got the first snow of the season! Its so pretty, but of course it came at an inconvenient time since we will be heading off soon to New York. Can't wait to see my adorable niece!

The Art of Great Timing

So I have basically three more days left before I can go back to my wonderful home for winter break and Christmas. Until then I have two finals, a 7 to 9 page paper proposal, presentation, and honor society application to finish. On top of those glorious tasks I have set forth for myself, not by choice may I add, I am sick. It came out of no where and now all I want to do is sleep and stay in my room, in other words I just want to vegetate until I am a-okay to do anything. Sadly my ideal way of spending the last few days of the fall semester in no way can happen and I must truck on with all of my work. Wish me luck and hopefully I can nap a long the way :)

The Life of a College Student is Never Done

If only college didn't have so much work, it would be a fantastic place. Sadly this is a very unrealistic thought and society would not be in great shape if we didn't have to work to learn. As you may be able to tell, I am plagued by the awfulness of having tons of work for all my classes at the moment. It is coming to the end of the semester, which means project and papers are due and final must be taken. Oh well, it is worth it in the end when I have a career I guess. What keeps me moving right now is the prospect of winter break and Christmas time are around the bend. So happy its that most wonderful time of the year again!

Harry Potter Bliss!

So yesterday my friends and I celebrated my friend Becca's 21st birthday. It was tons of fun! There were 11 of us and we went to Chiles for dinner. We of course made Becca get a couple of drinks. You're only 21 once. Anyways the food was good and we all had a good time. After dinner 7 of us then went to go see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 1. It was amazing! I loved it! I cried, I laughed, and I was a little creeped out at one part. It was so worth it and I can not wait for this summer to see the second part! It is going to be epic! Advice for the day, don't wait to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows on DVD, go see it in theaters now :)
